Commercial Booth Information:

The Kiwanis Covington County Fair is coming to town October 13th 19th at the Fair Grounds located on the South Bypass Hwy 55, Andalusia, AL. Commercial booth spaces are located within the Commercial Exhibits Building, with electricity and tables available and arranged so that fair attendees will pass your booth twice. Additional space is available in the Covington Arena and outside space between the Arena and Kiwanis Building fenced-in area. In addition to the space in the exhibit building, additional space is available in the arena for larger booths. Booths are for exhibiting merchandise, wares or promotional materials. Exhibitors are expected to adhere to the specifics contained in the Commercial Booth Contract.

The Exhibitor agrees to pay the Association at the time of contract signing, the correct sum for the use and occupancy of the exhibition space for the period of the Fair as indicated below. Space cannot be reserved without signed contract. The price for a commercial booth is as follows:

$165 per booth, for current one year contract

$150 per booth, for a three year contract commitment for brand new vend ors (billed $150 per year)

$140 per booth, for a three year contract commitment (billed $140 per year) for previous vendors that have had contracted booths for the past 5 years

Booths available are 8' X 12', and prices for booths are listed above. Covington County Arena space is also available for $1.00/square foot.

Booths are for exhibiting merchandise, wares or promotional materials. Exhibitors are expected to adhere to the specifics contained in the Commercial Booth contract.

Each Commercial Booth rental will be allowed 4 passes per day and will be used for the whole week with the date stamped on the pass each day. The passes will be mailed to vendor when payment is received for booth rental. It will be the responsibility of the vendor to get these passes to booth workers. No exceptions without Fair Chairman approval prior to fair dates.
Shifts shall be:

  Monday 2:00 - 7:30 pm & 7:30 - 10:00 pm

  Tuesday - Friday 5:30 - 7:30 pm & 7:30 - 10:00 pm

  Saturday 3:00 - 7:30 pm & 7:30 - 10:00 pm

  Sunday 1:00 - 3:30 pm & 3:30 - 6:00 pm

This is a very popular event and space fills up quickly. Exhibitors should have their contract for reserved booth space no later than September 30th . Booths will be available for setup starting on Friday, October 10th.

Non-Commercial Booth Information:

The Kiwanis Covington County Fair association provides free booths to any organization, schools, or clubs listed in Non-Commercial Booth Divisions. Guidelines are that all exhibits must be non-commercial in nature, cannot sell food or merchandise, in no way solicit donations or promote a for-profit venture. These booths are unattended (except for Kiwanis' presence) during the fair days.

The booths are 12' x 8' in size with back and side curtains furnished. Your booth will be labeled with your name and class.

You may set up your exhibit on Friday, October 10th, 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.; Saturday, October 11th, 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.; & Sunday October 12th, 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. You must remove your exhibit on Monday, October 20th or Tuesday, October 21st, 1 p.m. until 6 p.m.

2014 Fair Commercial & Non-Commercial Booth Rules:

1. Exhibitors will be held responsible for the cleanliness of their booth. All booths must be in readiness before 5:30 p.m. each day during the Fair, or within 30 minutes of Fair opening on days the Fair opens early. In case of failure on the part of the exhibitor to keep their space clean and orderly, the Fair Association may use such means, as they deem advisable, to enforce this rule.

2. Decorations, signs, cabinets, etc., and the arrangement of the exhibits must conform to the wishes of the Association and the local and state fire laws. Side walls of the booths shall not exceed 4 feet in height at the center aisle and then shall not exceed the height of a 45-degree angle from the center aisle to the rear of the booth.

3. Every article on exhibit shall be under control of the Association and while every reasonable precaution will be taken for the safeguarding the same, neither the Association or its officers or guards will be responsible for any loss or damage or injury that may occur to the exhibit or the exhibitor.

4. The use of gongs, loudspeakers, bells and other noisy instruments for the purpose of attracting attention will not be tolerated.

5. The distribution of hand bills and other advertising matter is strictly prohibited and no tacking or posting of advertising, bills, cards, etc., will be permitted on any of the buildings or elsewhere. Exhibitors may advertise at and distribute from their space of exhibit only and must stay within their booth space to sell and promote their product. OPERATING THE CENTER AISLE WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. No political data can be distributed without the consent of the Fair Association.

6. Advertising matter and samples of articles on exhibition only may be given to the public from the exhibit space without special authorization from the Fair Association. The right is reserved to restrict or discontinue this privilege whenever it is carried to excess or becomes an annoyance to visitors in the judgment of the Association. Exhibitors displaying materials deemed offensive, or displaying those in the opinion of the Association, not appropriate for the family atmosphere of the Fair, will be asked to remove them. If the items are not removed immediately, the Exhibitor will be asked to leave and is subject to forfeit their Exhibitor’s fee.

7. Drapes or other booth decorations must be flameproof and hanging and must clear the floor. All fire regulations of the state must be complied with and all electrical wiring must conform to national electrical code safety rules.

8. The association will not be responsible for any loss, damage or injury that may occur to the exhibit, to the exhibitor, the exhibitor's employees, or property from any cause whatsoever prior to, during or subsequent to the period covered by the exhibit contract.

9. The enforcement of any of these rules shall not entitle the exhibitor to any compensation or refund.

10. The association reserves the right to amend or add to these rules, as they, in their judgment, may deem advisable.

11. Each Commercial Booth exhibitor that requires worker(s) on duty in their booths will be allowed up to two persons per shift. Shifts shall be:
>Monday 2:00 - 7:30 p.m. and 7:30 - 10:00 p.m.,
>Tuesday – Friday 5:30 – 7:30 pm & 7:30 – 10:00 pm,
>Saturday 3:00 – 7:30 pm & 7:30 – 10:00 pm and on
>Sunday 1:00 – 3:30 pm & 3:30 – 6:00 pm.
No exceptions without Fair Chairman approval prior to fair dates. The passes are for workers only!

Entering an Exhibit in the fair

Fair Exhibits and Livestock Divsions

The Covington County Fair welcomes and encourages the citizens of Covington County to exhibit items at the Fair in Exhibit Divsions1-12 and 22-30. Exhibits will be judged and ribbons and prize money will be awarded To enter an exhibit complete the registration form and register the exhibit at the scheduled times. All exhibitors must follow the 2014 Fair Individual Exhibit Rules.


1. Fair building will be open to receive exhibits (except horticulture and livestock) on Fri., Oct. 10 and Sat., Oct 11, from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. and on Sun., Oct. 13, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Registration for horticulture and farm animals:
Horticulture on Sun., Oct. 12, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Livestock on Sun., Oct. 12, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m and Mon., Oct. 13, from 8 a.m. until noon.

2. Judging will begin on Mon., Oct. 13, at 8 a.m. and continue until all judging has been completed.

3. There will be no charge for entering exhibits in these divisions.

4. Tag stubs will be given to exhibitors when exhibits are registered. The stub must be presented to identify the article when picking up articles at the end of the fair.

The exhibits committee must check out all exhibits, and a claim stub must be presented. By entering any exhibit, the exhibitors agrees to abide by these rules. Please DO NOT ask us to deviate from this rule.

6. Exhibitors can pick up exhibits Mon., Oct. 20, from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Tues., Oct. 21, from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Special arrangements must be made with the chairman of this committee to pick up articles after this time.

7. The Fair Committee reserves the right to decline any entry because of space or other considerations.

8. Entry blanks found elsewhere on this Website can be mailed to Kiwanis Covington County Fair, PO Box 523, Andalusia, Al 36420, or brought to the fairgrounds when entering the exhibit.

9. First, second and third place prizes will be given in all classes listed.

10. Entries are generally limited to no more than two entries in the same class by the same exhibitor, except where noted under that division. However, the fair committee reserves the right to amend this rule depending on space artricles entered in the division and other considerations.

A completed REGISTRATION FORM helps speed up registration. You can enter any type of individual exhibit on the same form, including flowers and livestock.

Have the form completed and present it to the registration committee when entering exhibits.
